Rated 5 out of 5 by ROSEPAT from I HAVE USED WILTON FOR OVER 30 YEARS, I LOVE HOW THE COLOUR COMES OUT & YOU DO NOT HAVE TO USE A WHOLE BOTTLE TO GET THE CORRECT COLOUR THAT YOU WANT. I WOULD & DO FREQUENTLY RECOMMEND WILTON'S COLOURS FOR I HAVE NEVER HAD A CUSTOMER THAT WAS NOT MORE THAN HAPPY TO RECEIVE THE CAKES THAT I HAVE MADE FOR THEM OVER THE 30 YEARS THAT I HAVE BEEN USING ALL OF YOUR PRODUCTS. ALSO IF YOU ARE LOW ON ONE COLOUR, YOU CAN FEEL SURE THAT IF YOU MIX TWO THAT YOU WILL STILL GET THE COLOUR THAT YOU WANT. THE BEST THING THAT I LOVE THE MOST IS THAT THE COLOURS DO NOT RUN THEY ARE PERFECT FOR ANY DECORATING JOB.

Rated 4 out of 5 by duckbut from Just a tip - I have stopped using toothpicks to add color to icing. I use stainless steel forks. I typically pile 12 or more next to my project. Depending on the depth of color you desire, just dip the tip of the fork tines into the gel. Use the fork to mix the icing. Keep a tall glass or deep bowl filled with warm water for your forks after use. This makes cleanup especially easy. Just remember: you can't double dip your fork. If you desire more color then get another fork. Using hundreds of toothpicks over the course of a month brought me to this revelation. Forks work wonders :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by angelkakes from I use only Wilton brand coloring at this time. I used to use regular grocery store brand food coloring until I learned of the Wilton icing colors. There is just no other way to get the color you need from a regular food coloring. Wilton colors are so rich and vivid.I would have to say the only problem I do seem to have is that my bottles seem to sometimes leak from around the tops and I seem to have it everywhere. Maybe a squeeze type tube might be a way to package a less messy product. over all it is a very good product, I would use no other.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JoCo0753 from I never knew they existed until I started decorating cookies as a hobby. Since discovering them, I use no other food coloring. Not only are they easy to use, but you get true colors and control the color from lighter to darker. As an extra bonus, they are offered in so many different colors to be used on so many different baking projects. I also appreciate the fact that is does not dilute or water down the batter or icing I am working with. It's been a wonderful discovery for me and makes my decorating experiences even more fun! Thanks Wilton!

Rated 5 out of 5 by CARDI from I like the gel colors because they are good for icing, fondant and other food items. The colors go along way and don't make your icing thin out like liquid food color does. I have used them for a long time and would recommend them to anyone for their decorating needs. I just open the foil top just enough to get out the desired amount so air does not get in it and dry it out. I just add a little water and that brings it back so you can use it . I also have put water in a small amount to use for airbrushing that works wonderful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AaronS25 from I used this product to dye wood I bought this a few weeks ago. I bought 7 colors in total. I was surprised by how powerful the colors were and how easy the product was to use. For me, adding the product to hot water seemed to be the easiest way to get it dissolved quickly. All of the colors seemed to adhere to the wood very well, except for the golden yellow color. That one never seemed to be bright enough for me. I will try a different yellow next time. All in all I am very happy with the product and will continue to use it a lot in the future!!! I just hope their color selection keeps growing!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by alxcasam from I love the shades of color that wilton icing colors make. There are so many choices so it is easy to find the perfect color. One of my first challenging cakes was Dora the Explorer. I used the pan and was not all that confident in my skills! It turned out to be easier than I expected. The instructions were perfect and the colors for Dora were perfect. I surprised myself and my little niece was thrilled! I find the colors mix easily and quickly no matter what type of icing or fondant I am using. I highly recommend wilton's icing colors.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Nyaa from Red red red Wilton colour gels are very good quality with a variety of shade options. Earlier in this post, there was a comment regarding trying to attain an acceptable shade of deep red. I frustratingly just went through this yesterday. I am having a Canada Day BBQ for 40+ people and have made 2 huge flag style cakes. Red is not red, it is pink. I added 5 bottles of no taste red gel colouring and still the shade of red was closer to pink. After reading comment after comment on this subject, a suggestion was made to add a few drops of medium brown. DO NOT ADD BLACK...you will have a purple burgundy icing. I will try the drops of brown when I can get to the store again. I don't have time right now!!. I will report the findings on this post.
