Holiday Tree Cake is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love making this cake! I use tip #2010 to ice the cake with green frosting so it looks like pine needles. Then I decorate the cake with buttercream icing, making garlands with various colors and tips. Often I will use cinnamon red hots candies for the ornaments. I have also used cinnamon sticks for the tree trunk to make it look more real. I usually use a marble cake mix for the cake itself. To finish the cake, I sprinkle it with fine edible cake glitter to simulate a light dusting of snow. The children in our family really enjoy this cake. They know I'll change it just a little bit from year to year so they look forward to seeing what I've done this time! All in all this is one of my favorite shaped cakes to make.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Even though this pan is now made different, it is the same shape as my old pan. It has been a family tradition to have this tree cake since I was a little girl. I usually make it with a star tip using buttercream. To decorate it we like to use either chocolate coated candies for ornaments. As for the star, I pipe one on.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I've used the star tip to decorate the tree in green buttercream frosting, then use gumdrops, sprinkles or any other type of small candy to use as ornaments. I've flattened out a yellow gumdrop & cut out a star from it for the top.
