Step 1

*Do not use pre-shredded cheese. White cheddar may be used instead of Jack.

Step 2

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Step 3

In medium mixing bowl cream butter with cheese. Stir in flour, salt, oregano, garlic powder and pepper.

Step 4

Shape dough into small logs and place in Cookie Master? Plus.

Step 5

Using desired disk, press shapes onto ungreased cookie sheet.

Step 6

Bake 10-15 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool 2 minutes on cookie sheet on cooling rack.

Step 7

Remove from sheet and continue to cool on rack. Serve hot or at room temperature.

Except for the fact that I have had 3 different cookie presses and have never been able to use the press with these - the dough is way too dense. I end up treating it like pie dough - add a few tablespoons of water, roll the dough out to 1/8th - 1/4th inch thick on floured surface and use cookie cutters to cut out. Poke a few times with a fork and bake following directions.
