Surprise your loved one with this cute cookie pop that has a little message on a string attached to it! Decorated using fondant and Pearl Dust, these Heart Strings Valentine Treats are great for giving out to friends and family or dropping in your kids' lunch for a fun Valentine's Day surprise. Add a little fondant charm to your cookie for an added surprise!
In advance: Make fondant heart pendant. Roll out
fondant 1/8 in. thick. Cut heart shape using second
smallest cutter. Cut out hole using narrow end of tip
7. Roll a 1/16 in. diameter fondant rope. Shape lengths
into LOVE letters; attach with damp brush. Paint
pendant with silver Pearl Dust/lemon extract mixture. Let dry.
Prepare cookie dough and press into pan. Insert
cookie stick and bake following pan directions. Cool
in pan 3 minutes after baking; unmold and cut hole
in cookies using smallest round Cut-Out. Let cool
completely. Cover cookies with thinned white icing.
For each treat, tint 1 oz. fondant red. Use fabric mold
to make one bow for each treat; set aside. Roll out
remaining red 1/8 in. thick. Cut heart using second
largest cutter from set. Center fondant heart on
cookie; cut hole with smallest round Cut-Out. Attach
to cookie with damp brush. Tint 1 oz. rose; roll out
1/8 in. thick. Imprint with texture press. Cut heart using
third largest cutter from set. Center on cookie and cut
hole as above. Attach rose heart and bow to cookie
with damp brush. Thread ribbon through pendant
and tie onto cookie.
