Make mortarboards in advance by covering
Mortarboard Pattern with sheet of waxed paper. Melt Light Cocoa Candy Melts as directed on package. Pipe outline and fill in pattern with 12 inch Parchment Triangle filled with melted Candy Melts. Refrigerate until firm.
Bake cupcakes in Smiley Grad or Graduation Themed Standard Baking Cups and cool completely on Cooling Grid.
Prepare Buttercream Icing recipe and tint with Lemon Yellow Icing Color. Ice cupcakes smooth with yellow icing using Spatula.
For tassel, roll out spice drop with Perfect Height Rolling Pin on a flat surface sprinkled with granulated sugar. Cut out tassel with a 1 inch long strip. For fringe, make small vertical cuts on one end. Connect tassel to candy coated button and mortarboard with melted Candy Melts. Once set, position mortarboard on top edge of cupcake.
Arrange candy coated chocolate eyes and licorice mouth on cupcake.
