Frightfully Fun Halloween Cookie House #1


Add a bit of fright to your Halloween night as you decorate this cookie house! Kids and adults will have a frightening good time choosing one of the two creepy designs and decorating with colored icing, fondant and candy.

Step 1

Make front door. Use black icing to outline and fill in door. Pat smooth. Attach candy for doorknob and teeth.

Step 2

Make front windows. Roll out fondant 1/16 in. thick. Cut two 1 in. squares and attach for windows. Use black icing to outline windows and fill in eyelid detail, and pipe eyebrows. Use purple icing to pipe dot eyes. Attach candy.

Step 3

Make side windows. Roll out fondant 1/16 in. thick. Cut two 2 in. squares and attach for windows. Use purple icing to outline windows and to pipe windowpanes. Use black icing to pipe ghost, spider and webs on walls around windows.

Step 4

Make back windows. Roll out fondant 1/16 in. thick. Cut three 1 in. squares and attach for windows. Use black icing to outline windows and to pipe details.

Step 5

Decorate roof. Use purple icing and spatula to ice roof. Drag spatula across roof to make deep lines. Let icing set. Use black icing to pipe drips down roof and zigzags on roof peak. Attach candy to roof peak.

Step 6

Decorate base. Use purple icing and spatula to ice pathway. To make pumpkins, roll remaining fondant into balls and use edge of spatula to mark lines. Use black icing to pipe stems. Position pumpkins along pathway.
