Topped with a green icing knit cap, these snowman cookies are ready for the seasonal weather. They are easy to make and decorate using our Roll-Out Cookie Dough, Comfort-Grip Snowman Cutter and Color Flow Icing.
Prepare dough and roll out 1/8 in thick. Cut using Comfort-Grip. Bake and cool.
Prepare Color Flow icing from mix. Tint dark green, light green, black and orange; reserve some white.
Create face. Use tip 3 and full-strength white icing to outline face. Use tip 3 and thinned white icing to fill in. Let dry until set.
Create hat. Use tip 3 with full-strength dark green icing to outline hat. Use tip 3 and thinned dark green icing to fill in. Immediately use tip 3 and thinned light green icing to pipe dots. Let dry until set.
Create facial features. Use tip 2 and full-strength black icing to pipe dot eyes and string mouth. Let dry until set.
Use tip 5 and full-strength white icing to pipe dot cheeks.
Use tip 8 and full-strength orange icing to pipe pull-out dot carrot nose using heavy to light pressure to create ridges.
Using full-strength orange color flow icing and tip 8, pipe pull-out dot carrot nose using heavy to light pressure to create ridges.
Create hatband. Use tip 8 and full-strength light green icing to pipe zigzag hat brim and rosette on top of hat.
The rosette has the tight, swirling look of a rose, but is achieved in one continuous rotation, rather than with wrapped layers of petals. Single rosettes are also used as candleholders on top of a cupcake.
