Gingerbread Mini Village Kit is rated 2.0769 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from I used this kit last year and plan to purchase again this year for my daughters holiday slumber party - age 9. I put the houses together for them before they get there and let them decorate. It's a good value for the $ when trying to do bulk gingerbread houses - so each child get's 1 to take home. I tried making gingerbread myself and doing from scratch and it just takes too much time/effort for what the kids want to do - decorate and eat the candy. Its difficult to find the Wilton Village in stores - sometimes I have to go to several places before i find them. Overall, the kids love decorating them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have no idea what the people leaving bad reviews are talking about - this kit is very easy to put together! Upon opening the kit, all the gingerbread pieces are in one package, however they're grouped together, and just looking at the pictures on the box tells you exactly where each one goes. It took very little effort to figure it out. They came out adorable, they were a lot of fun. Be aware that they are MINI houses, not a full size village - some people get confused about that.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from We ran into the same problem someone else had...not enough pieces for 5 homes. We layed out all the pieces to start and couldnt figure out which piece went where and even at that came up with only enough pieces for 3 homes. For that reason I would give this only one star. I did give it 2 stars though, just because it looked great in the end with my own pieces. I was determined to make it great so we used crackers cut down to size and once frosted you couldnt tell that we had to use them. In the end everyone including myself was pleased with the outcome of the 5 houses considering that we had an incomplete kit to work with and had to add our own pieces. We did have to use tweezers to place the tiny little candies, those would have been nice if they came on a string or something just ready to place on.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I assembled the kit with my nephew. I assembled 3 houses and gave 2 to him. You need to have very good assembly skills because the instructions are not clear. I finished mine while he assembled only one house with an attached room ~ :) ~ I noticed that the picture on the box makes you think the houses are bigger and that is the main reason why the parts seem to mismatch!!! Its my first one!!! and loved working on it!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from We have decorated a gingerbread house every Christmas for the last six years. Every other Wilton kit was easy to use and turned into a beautiful project. This kit is the exception. The pieces would not break apart easily. The pieces did not match up. The icing was difficult to use. The directions did not make any sense. This is the worst Wilton product I have ever bought.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This was an excellent kit that I spent quite a bit of time assembling and decorating with my brother and sister. I would not reccomend this for young children or people without patience. The instructions are very thorough and one needs to be very particular to emulate the designs displayed on the box. It did include everything we needed and was a fun experience!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I wish there was a less than 1 star rating. Worst product ever. First 2 house were unable to be made because they cracked and fell apart just trying to get the pieces apart. then the frosting is too touchy for the novice baker. this product is a huge waste of time. it would have been less frustrating to just make the houses from scratch myself.
