Topic: Expiration Date on Candy Melts???...
Mikel79 04/06/2011 11:55 AM
Hi Cakers!

I have read other places that these Candy Melts expire. Please explain to me where the "Use By" date is. I have a bag in front of me now, and do not see a expiration date on it.

In the clear window showing the actual candy melt there are a series of letters and numbers. However, nothing that looks like a expiration date.

Any idea???

Thank You,

Mike some places code their expiration dates and they are hard to read. Post the letters and numbers exactly as they look on your package and maybe I can help.

Thank you for the offer. Here is what the numbers and letters look like.....

Thank you!!!

I would either say....October 11, 2011 OR November 10, 2011...if you go by the second line

I think you will be alright....when did you buy them?

I bought this this morning at Michael's. 4/6/2011. They had them on sale.

Your good then if they were on sale....even if they were clearanced. Also anything like the melts or Almond Bark will keep for quite a while. If you have an extra large quantity and won't use them right away you can always freeze them. I would say the expiration is either for Oct or Nov.

Have fun with them

Mikel, here's an earlier thread about Wilton Candy Melts Answers to: How old are they? When were they made? How long will they last?

I just gave it a bump.

Your candy melts were produced on Jan 31, 2011 and are good for 18 months past this date.
