Hi Cakers!

Geesh! It has been awhile. =)

I was wondering how long the Wilton Icing Colors last? I have colors in my bin from when I started cake decorating...4 years ago??

I don't see a expiration date on them?

What do you think?

Thanks!

Michael

They don't expire, but they do dry out and become thicker !!

Also, make sure that they haven't been contaminated !!

You may find it a little harder to mix the gels in, but they will still work !! (I've had a few myself !! )

Wilton sells glycerin that you can mix into old gels that have dried out to thin them back out again.

Contamination is a big concern. I try to make a big deal in class to only use clean toothpicks in the icing colors. I too have use the glycerin to help restore my drier colorings. Good advice!
