I normally make my cake batter from scratch, but I need a white cake mix that is sturdy in order to make a 3-D cake. Found a previous post saying the Betty Crocker cake mixes worked really well. I just need to know how many cups of batter it makes so I know how many mixes to pick up. I hate extra trips to the store!! Thanks so much!!!

Make sure you pick up an extra box or 2 of mix...each flavor of every brand makes a little different amount.

Not to mention, I saw that dreaded 3-D cake noted...and you need a LOT of batter for those..like to the point of overflowing the bottom pan to make it work properly...

I only speak from experience when I tried to make the 3-D duck and it took me 3 tries to get it baked right!! Thank goodness because at that point I was out of box cake mixes!! LOL!!!

Good luck!
