I have a cake order for this weekend. They want a University of Florida Gator logo on it so I was planning on doing a frozen buttercream transfer. But they just came back to me and told me that I could still use buttercream for the picture but if there is any way I could do a chocolate gnache or glaze on it instead of icing it in buttercream. I never done a gnache or glaze before so I'm not sure if it's is going to be too slippery to put a buttercream transfer on. I'm not worried about making the gnache/glaze, there are plenty of recipes out there. I'm just worried about whether or not I can still do the buttercream transfer. Any help is greatly apperciated! Thanks!

I would suggest to make the transfer on a cake board plaque. This way you can do the transfer in tacked without maring the ganache coating.
