I'm making chocolate buttercream off this website. It calls for 3-4 T milk and also butter. Do I need to refrigerate cake after I ice it if it contains milk? Butter? I didn't know if it would spoil if not.

No, the cake will not require refrigeration.

If you have leftover frosting that you want to keep a week or two for your next project, refrigerate it for maximum freshness.

I would. It depends on when you ice it and plan to serve it. If I ice a cake with butter/milk icing the night before I want it, I stick it in the fridge. Then, I take it out in time that the icing will soften before serving. I've left a cupcake cake iced with it on a table at my work for a day (8am to 3pm), and it was still fine to eat as people were picking away at them over the day - I had it in the fridge until I put it in the car to go to work at maybe 7:30am.
