Topic: Does anyone know which fondant rolling mat Sharon Zambito uses in her DVDs?

I know she has this huge blue one. I see Amazon has a blue silicone one made by Ateco. Was wondering if that's what Sharon Zambito uses. Any guesses? Thanks.

Yes, that's the one.

I believe it is the Ateco that she uses.

I have that Mat and LOVE it! As a matter of fact I tried to roll out my fondant last night (Fondarific) using The Mat and it was terrible! I used the blue Ateco mat and had no issues.

What size is the Ateco mat? Thanks

Thanks for the response! I have a huge KA one I am going to try. It was one of those hit or miss items from Tuesday Morning that I tucked away by mistake. BUT, I will let you know if it works!

Ateco has a 24 x 24 and the home Mat from Sweetwise is 22 x 22. I'm a hobby baker so only need a small one like these. I just can't decide which one to get. I think the Ateco one is heavier because it's silicone and it won't slide around, but on the other hand I like The Mat because it's 2 pieces. Decisions, decisions, decisions. No rush, just starting to think about my Christmas list

Suggestions?

I have both the Ateco mat and The Mat from Sweetwise. I like the Ateco one better at the moment.

Why? I really like to use Fondarific whic is horribly soft. Add in humidity and it is a disaster. I tried using it with the Matand it tore when I went to put it on my cake. Had to re-roll on the Ateco mat, using some cornstarch and was able to get t on my cake. I have yet to try the Mat with other fondants.
