Topic: Piping Gel too runny

Help, I added color to my piping gel and it is too runny to use as an outline. Can I add something to thicken it up? Thanks.

Corn Syrup will work.

I bet you need to add unflavored gelatin.

Well, I can't explain this one, but it has been a while since I needed to use my gel for a cake and when I opened it up, it actually was thicker without doing anything with it! Can you explain that? I guess it just gets thicker as it "ages"? Well anyway, thanks for the posts. Sorry I haven't gotten back here sooner, but I had a lull in my cake orders, but it is picking up again.
