I have the set of 4 3" pans. Is there any reason I need to get the 2" pans? Can't I just put the amount of batter called for the 2" pan by Wilton and bake?

Thanks

It's not a dumb question at all. And I only have the 3" squares, so that's what I've done. Baked them thinner so I don't have to torte the larger ones.

Nope. The more batter you put in the pan the higher the cake should rise. The less batter you put in the pan the shorter the height of the cake.
