I love the Paisley pan set and am thinking of buying them. I haven't been able to find any pictures or design ideas, except for the cake in the Wilton 2008 Yearbook. Does anyone happen to have any pictures of cakes they've made using this set? I'm very tempted to buy them, but I'm not sure how much use I'd be able to get from them. Thanks!

My approach is generally to buy pans I like first and figure out what I'll use them for later. Not the most practical, I suppose, but then, I collect pans and collectors are not known for being practical.

My son wants exactly the same dense chocolate cake every year for his birthday. It is not a cake that goes well with buttercream and decorating it is a challenge, so I settle for doing it in different shaped pans. This year's was a comma. I've also used that pan to feature a cornucopia, and for a tropical theme.

Wow, thanks for all the replies and for tracking down pics of cakes with those pans! I never would've thought to do a cornucopia with it, but that's an excellent idea! All the other cakes are wonderful too. I think my problem is that I'm just not creative enough to think of these things When I checked my email this morning, I had a newsletter from Global Sugar Art, and the first picture was of a cake done with the paisley pan. Now I have lots of ideas, and think I'm definitely going to pick up the pans...especially since I have a 50% of coupon to Michael's Thanks for convincing me!

I am doing a bridal shower cake for my best friend, and I bought the paisley pans because there were different. I tested them out by making a birthday cake for my sister.
