I'm doing the cake for a Halloween Party and do not want to use character pans/molds. I was thinking of doing a 2 tier cake (10 and 8 inch rounds). Does anyone have any neat decorating ideas for the cake? Thanks, Naty Firechi@adelphia.net

The Wilton 2001 yearbook shows a cool 2 tier idea. Little ghosts on the sides holding candles and little chocolate grave stones. They show it using their gingerbread haunted house as a topper.

Thank you for your reply! I did see that. I am a little intimidated though. Haven't been practicing much. Thanks again, Naty.

I've done a 3 tier Halloween wedding cake. Orange icing, black trim. Top layer - use wedding cake topper to transform into Frankenstein & Bride (1993 yearbook for instructions). Layer 2 - skeleton & bats - bottom layer - graveyard & ghosts. This cake is always a huge hit. E-mail me directly for more details.

Use clear separating tiers (the short ones 4 inches or so make little ghosts/ghouls from fondant with their arms up holding up the second cake and the top have 2 ghosts like a wedding cake). Use remaining fondant for exra ghosts on bottom cake board and other miscellaneous areas.
