Hi all -
The groom changed his mind (probably the future Mrs)- instead of a deer head groom's cake-
we are going camo.
Has anyone done a Mossy Oak pattern ? Has to be buttercream.
I thought abt an edible image, but I would have to piece a few together to cover the whole top (going on an 11x15 sheet cake or larger - possibly a large round or square) and I don't think it would look right plus it would cost a small fortune.
I did hi-lite all the forums under search and typed in Mossy Oak - and didn't find what I was looking for.

Any and all ideas much appreciated !

thank you !!!!

I don't have a pic, but you might do a search on camo cakes. My son is in the Marines and I did that when he was coming home.

Thanks houmoore4... true - I should try camo or camouflage - just panicking a bit since it is so detailed.
But beats the 3d deer that I haven't done either !

I think I might layer the icing - 1st layer smooth - then do a different muted color on top and then comb thru it to look like a tree and then figure something out for the leaves - might lay fondant ones on top - who knows..
But time is running out !!

thank you again !
