I want to make my fondant flowers and animals rock hard like gumpaste. How can I do that without having to go out and buy or make a separate package/batch of gumpaste? Would adding glucose to the fondant do the trick?

No. Glucose won't help. Try adding a little Gum-Tex (available from Wilton). Just let them air dry. Someone on the board uses a dehydrator, I haven't tried it yet, but I plan to.

Add gum-tex. I'm not sure the quantities, but I'm thinking about 1 tsp./pound of fondant? Anyone else know the ratio?
