I wait till my flowers are dry to paint them, otherwise they are too soft.

For the purpose of this course I didn't use any alcool, everything was brushed on dry. When I used alcool in the past I did not steam the flowers but somebody else might have a different experience.

All of my directions for painting flowers calls for two ingredients:

The dry dust
The alcohol

Instructions:

Using dry paint brush, brush on the dry dust until the flower is the color/shade you prefer. Meanwhile, using a small cup, pour your choice of alcohol in it, and sip until empty. Repeat as necessary.

I'm looking through this forum for ideas for my final class and your way is much better than Wilton's. Best advice I've seen in quite a while ,
