I was on the website and says to use a 8x8 brownie mix for the chocolate cake. what does that mean exactly?

I believe they want you to use a mix or recipe that fills an 8" x 8" baking pan.

Oh ok.., does wilton even makes a 8x8 pan? I just have a 8x2

The pan you need is an 8"x8"x2" square pan.

Let me clarify: You need an 8" round pan that is 2" deep. The confusion is that brownies are usually baked in square or rectangle pans so the list says you need a recipe that is usually baked in an 8x8x2 square pan...that is one recipe or boxed mix. You'll bake the brownie in the round pan, not the square pan.

To answer your question about the pan though (which is where I went off track,) YES, Wilton does have an 8x8x2 pan. Several choices, in fact.
