Hi, I am new to this forum and so glad to have found it. I am 33 and just fell in love with baking and decorating. I spent most of my life working and school. Now I am a stay at home mom and finding love in baking. Last night, I made my first homemade yellow cake. I was so excited and it went well but I cooked it to long because the middle took longer to bake. What did I do wrong? I had the oven at 350...should I lower that a bit? The cake was very brown and a tad crunchy on sides. Some help and tips would be so awesome ladies. Thank you in advance!
