why does my flow frosting dry with white patches. MY cookies are really ugly when they dry and I have to throw them out. Can someone help me with this one?

Thanks

Hi there! I don't know the answer to your question, but if you repost in the "general" forum, you'll get a response. This forum is not checked very often.

HTH!

mycookies....I don't know if you posted this somewhere else but I was wondering what kind of color flow icing you use. Is it a mix or homemade?

I think if you leave the icing in the bag for too long it separates and causes white dots to form.

I made a color flow last week and it was fine. I put the bag with the leftover color flow in a plastic ziplock and the next day I decided to make some "drops" out of it. There were white dots on them.

I think I should have just remixed the frosting since I think the water separated from the sugar.
I just threw the rest away since it was almost all gone anyway and I was just trying to use it up.

BTW I don't use the mix.
