I'm making a wedding cake for a friend. She wants a vegan carrot cake with vegan (faux) cream cheese icing? Can I put fondant over this non-dairy cream cheese icing?

Also, does satin ice fondant really taste better than regular fondant?

Thanks.

Beth

Yes, you can put fondant over any icing except for like a whipped cream icing. That's not strong enough to support the weight of fondant.

Satin Ice tasted better than Wilton fondant, but homemade marshmallow fondant tastes the best. It's easy and cheap to make. There are recipes for it in the Recipes forum.

Also, if you wanted to repost your question in the general forum, you would get a lot more response. This forum isn't checked by too many people.
