Make Shape-N-Amaze 3-D character three days in advance. Use online directions to create golfer cake topper.
Make flag one day in advance. Tint 1/4 oz. of white fondant red. Use 9 in. fondant roller with pink guide rings to roll out 1/16 in. thick. Use knife to cut triangle, 2 1/8 in. x 2 7/8 in. Let dry overnight on a cornstarch-dusted surface.
Melt white Candy Melts candy according to package directions. Use melted candy to attach flag to lollipop stick. Let set 3 to 5 minutes.
Make cake. Prepare batter following recipe directions. Bake and cool 2-layer cake according to pan package directions. Place on a foil-wrapped cake circle.
Cover cake with fondant. Tint 24 oz. of white fondant green. Prepare buttercream icing following recipe directions. Use spatula and icing to lightly ice cake. Use 20 in. fondant roller with orange guide rings to roll out 1/8 in. thick. Cover cake with fondant.
Decorate cake. Tint 11 oz. of white fondant a darker shade of green. Use 20 in. fondant roller with blue guide rings to roll out 1/16 in. thick. Use knife to cut one wavy strip, 27 in. long x 3 in. wide. Use knife to cut one wavy strip, 27 in. long x 2 in. wide. Use damp brush to attach strips to cake.
Use black edible color marker to draw flags and holes on darker green strip. Fill in flags with red edible color marker and holes with black edible color marker. On bottom edge of cake, use green edible color marker to draw blades of grass.
Tint 1/4 oz. of white fondant black. Flatten into a circle by hand and use damp brush to attach to top of cake. Insert flag into cake offsetting it near the black hole.
