Fondant is the flexible clay-like icing that helps you create pretty hand-shaped decorations for your cupcakes. Here, we´ve cut and looped individual bows that wrap up a fun party look perfect for any occasion.
In advance: Tint portions of fondant for bows using various icing colors. Roll out colors 1/8 in. thick. Make 5 or 6 loops for each bow: Cut 3 x ½ in. strips using straight-edge wheel of Cutter/Embosser. Fold ends over and attach with damp brush. Let dry on side overnight on cornstarch-dusted board.
Bake and cool cupcakes in White Standard Baking Cups. Cool completely on Cooling Grid.
Prepare Buttercream Icing recipe. Ice cupcake tops smooth with spatula in buttercream.
Roll a 1/2 in. fondant ball for bow center; flatten slightly. Position loops to form bow on cupcake tops. Attach ball center with damp brush. Position cupcakes on stand or serving plate.
Fondant flowers are also fun ways to top cupcakes. Just roll out your favorite colors and cut with Wilton Fun Flower Cut-Outs?. Easy and exciting for any occasion.
Nothing says "celebrate" like a cake topped with a lush fondant bow. While the bow looks intricate, it's really just a grouping of fondant strips, folded, wrapped and arranged to create a full effect. When you cut strips with the Fondant Ribbon Cutter/ Embosser, you can create bows with stripes or beaded edge embossed designs. Or place fondant on Imprint Mat and roll over one time to imprint design.

I made these for my Daughter?s 10th Birthday. The biggest thing is making the ribbons well in advanced so they have time to dry. I used luster dust on some of the ribbons and piping gel with sugar sprinkles on the others, they turned out so pretty. I will definitely be making these again.

I found these delightful to use for a baby shower that was expecting triplets, one purple, one pink and one blue for two girsl and a boy, I used foil liners and white and chocolate cake mix. They were so simple yet elegant. thank you for sharing your ideas with me.

Really pretty, and it really pays to make the bows a day ahead. Cuts down on having to do too many steps at once, also.
