A single bloom placed in a flower pot is a welcome addition to your party table. Make this mini cake and cookie flower bloom using the Wilton Flower Pot Mini Cake Pan and the Blossom Cookie Cutter Set.
Make flower cookie. Prepare cookie dough and roll out following recipe. Use second smallest (3 in.) blossom cutter from set to cut out shape. Bake and cool cookies.
Decorate flower cookie. Prepare royal icing follow recipe directions. Tint portions yellow and green. Use tip 2 and full-strength yellow icing to outline petals. Use thinned icing in a cut parchment bag to fill in petals. Use tip 2 and full-strength green icing to pipe in center of flower. Pat smooth with finger dipped in cornstarch. Let dry 4 hours.
Use royal icing to attach cookie stick to back of cookie. Let dry 4 hours.
Make flower pot cakes. Prepare batter following recipe directions. Bake according to pan package directions. Cool in pan 10 minutes on cooling grid. Invert pan onto cooling grid and allow to cool completely upside down.
Decorate flower pot. Prepare buttercream icing following recipe directions. Tint terra cotta. Use spatula and icing to ice flower pot. Press cookie crumbs into top of flower pot.
Assemble flower pot. Insert flower cookie pop in flower pot.
