Starting at the bottom of the cursive ?e,? hold the decorating bag at a 45° angle at 3:00 (9:00 for left-handed decorators). ...and around as if writing the script "e."

Step 4
Step 4

Repeat to complete the border, using a steady, even pressure.

Step 5

To end, stop pressure, pull tip away.

Step 6

If you have to stop on your border to change positions, push in your tip at the end of the ?e? and continue piping to keep a smooth look.

You can vary the look of the e-motion border by making tight e´s or stretched e?s.

E-motion is shorter and rounder than loops.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you have experience in using the frosting bag, then this technique is very easy! It may be harder if you do not have experience using the frosting bag, as i notice novices shake and have a hard time squeezing the bag, but otherwise it is super easy and looks great for a quick design or add to something fancier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I like this technique very much. It can be be done easily because if you want to stop for a moment you just finish off the "e" and pick it back up when you're ready to go on. The stopping point is easily covered up by the next "e". Very fun to do and versatile also.
