Step 1

Line Mini Tasty-Fill pans with plastic wrap, allowing wrap to overhang at least 2 inches. Pack softened ice cream into pans. Freeze 1-2 hours.

Step 2

Remove ice cream from one pan by pulling on plastic wrap. Arrange on serving plate, cavity side up. Fill cavity with sorbet. Repeat with second pan; invert onto first layer. Working quickly, smooth top and sides with metal spatula; press almonds into ice cream cake sides. Freeze several hours before serving. Arrange fresh raspberries and serve.

I fixed this cake for a dessert on Thanksgiving and the family loved it Other Things that you can try are changing the fruit to strawberries and make the ice cream strawberry flavored. You also can drizzle some chocolate or carmel syrup on the plate to make a pretty presentation. Then spray with whipped cream and put a strawberry or raspberry on top. Once it is done looks like you went to a restaurant and bought this cake

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I made it with chocolate cake and mint chip ice cream. The ice cream needs to be packed in tightly for it to look perfect. I unfortunately did not pack it tightly. It tasted great and I learned from my mistake. It does make a beautiful presentation with fresh fruit sliced up and a little whipped cream, yummmy!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I rate things by how fast they disappear and well, the kids loved it, and yes dad had a tiny piece which I had to hide at the back of the freezer. De lish. Only problem was I washed the raspberries and they leaked red juice all over plate so next time will have to dry them off better.
