In advance: Make flowers. Use gum paste and instructions
from Flower Cutter Set to make 44 dogwood flowers; make
extras to allow for breakage and let dry.
Also in advance: Make ribbons.
Use Fabric Mold to make 55 large and 55 small ribbons.
Center small ribbons over large ribbons and attach using
damp brush. Let dry 24 hours on cornstarch-dusted, waxed
paper-covered boards. Brush with white Pearl Dust.
Finally in advance: Prepare board. Using largest pan as a guide, cut board
3/4 in. larger on all sides. Prepare and cover board with
38 oz. of fondant tinted yellow.
Bake and cool 3-layer cakes (trim one layer to 1 in. high for
5 in. high tiers). Ice smooth with tinted icing. Prepare for
Stacked Construction>. Using tip 5, pipe a line of icing
on back of ribbons and attach to cake sides; miter ends for a
tight fit at corners. Use fondant to shape an oval mound 5 x 3
x 2 1/2 in. high. Position on top. Use icing to attach flowers to
cake sides and over mound.
