Make the holidays merry! Pick up a petite gingerbread house kit, gather the family and build the gingerbread house together. The kids can learn how to make a gingerbread house and you can make some memories as you build a gingerbread house with them.
Ice roof one day in advance. Place gingerbread roof panels on a flat surface and position diamond stencil on panel. Use spatula to spread icing from the kit over stencil openings. Carefully lift stencil. Let dry, about 3 hours.

Make front and back windows. Use fondant roller to flatten mini spice drops on waxed paper sprinkled with sugar. Use knife to cut five rectangular windows 3/4 in. x 1 1/2 in. Use dots of icing to attach two to front of house and three to back of house. Outline window frames and panes, and attach mini multi-colored candies along top and bottom edges of windows. Pipe icicles below windows.
Make wreath. Use fondant roller to flatten a green mini spice drop, keeping it round. Use scissors to cut slits 1/4 in. deep around edge of candy. Use tip and icing in cut disposable bag to attach wreath to front of house above door; attach red mini candy to center of wreath with dots of icing.
Make side windows. Use fondant roller to flatten mini spice drops on waxed paper sprinkled with sugar. Use scissors to cut 12 window panes, 1/2 in. square. Use tip and icing in cut disposable bag to attach panes to side walls with dots of icing, three across by two down. Outline window frames and panes. Attach mini multi-colored candies at corners of panes with dots of icing. Pipe icicles below windows.
Outline house. Use tip and icing in cut disposable bag to pipe lines under eaves. Use icing to pipe zigzags on house corners.
Decorate roof. Use tip and icing in cut disposable bag to attach two candy sticks to roof peak, end to end. Pipe icicles along eaves. Attach mini multi-colored candies in horizontal rows between diamonds on roof with dots of icing.
Decorate base. Use fondant roller to flatten mini spice drops. Use tip and icing in cut disposable bag to attach to base for front walkway. Attach candy sticks for walkway border. Use spatula to ice base smooth and immediately sprinkle with granulated sugar.

it falls apart immediately when i made it and it never worked when i tried it a second time.the icing in the kit was stiff and didn't stick to the gingerbread. my roof slid off when i made it :(
