Decorators love this elegant embellishment to a row of shells, because it´s so simple to do! Adding a bit more spacing between the shells will prevent the flutes from crushing the shells´ delicate ridges.
Getting Ready:
- Practice with Tip: #21 for Shell, #104 for Flute
- Fill your bag half full with medium consistency Royal Icing for practice.
Positions:
- Bag: 45° angle at 6:00 for shells 30° angle at 6:00 for flute
- Tip: touching between the shells
Sequence:
1. Make shell border. Hold the bag so that the wide end of the tip is between two shells.
2. Squeeze and move tip up slightly as icing fills in between shells.
3. Stop pressure, lower tip, and pull away.
