Step 1

Place chicken legs, olive oil, lemon zest and juice, garlic, salt and pepper in large reseable plastic bag. Move marinade around in bag to make sure each chicken leg is coated. Place bag in refrigerator to marinate for at least one hour.

Step 2

Preheat oven to 400°F. Place chicken legs in single layer on baking pan. Discard remaining marinade. Lightly salt and pepper chicken and top with lemon slices. Bake 30 minutes. Increase oven temperature to 425°F and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes to crisp skin. Juices should run clear when done.

Step 3

Top chicken with green onions and serve immediately.
