Step 1

2 to 3 days in advance: Make fondant accents. Tint 1 oz. fondant each ivory, aster mauve and peach. Add 1/8 teaspoon Gum-Tex to each color and to 2 oz. white; marbleize. Using sea life mold, make 18 various shells and starfish. Let dry on cornstarch-dusted surface.

Mold ring using 2 oz. white fondant and girl power mold; let dry. For coral, tint 3 oz. fondant each light ivory and very light aster mauve with peach. Add 1/2 teaspoon Gum-Tex to each. Using sea life mold, make 12 coral shapes in each color.

Step 2

Make clam shell. Let dry. Paint ring with silver Pearl Dust/ lemon extract mixture. Let dry.

Step 3

Bake and cool two 1-layer cakes; ice smooth. Tint 14 oz. fondant dark pink, 18 oz. dark ivory, 3 oz. medium ivory, 2 oz. light ivory. Prepare and cover cakes with fondant, 6 in. with dark pink, 10 in. with dark ivory. Prepare cakes for stacked construction.

Step 4

Using sea life mold, make medium ivory chain border strips for bottom border and 20 light ivory sand dollars. Attach to cake with damp brush. Attach 10 coral pieces to side of 6 in. cake with tip 3 dots of icing.

Step 5

Cut 10 lengths of 3 in. from lollipop sticks; attach with melted candy to remaining coral pieces, leaving 2 in. extended at bottom. Let set. Insert in top of 10 in. tier. Attach shells and starfish with tip 3 dots of icing.

Step 6

Position one clam shell half on cake top. Attach remaining clam shell to two lollipop sticks using melted candy, leaving 4 in. extended. Let set. Insert in cake top. Roll a 1 1/2 in. ball of medium ivory fondant; flatten slightly and cut slit in top. Position in bottom clam shell half. Insert ring.
