cookie pan preparation
Begin with a properly prepared cookie pan and you will have success every time!
You must start with a quality cookie pan or sheet in order to bake perfect cookies and treats. There are many good baking finishes available. Wilton makes superior non-stick, aluminum and insulated aluminum pans. You can rest assured with Wilton cookie sheets and pans, the extra-thick aluminum heats evenly for perfectly baked cookie and treats. When making your final choice, just make sure to select a durable pan that won’t warp, rust or chip during repeated use.
Before first and after each use, wash pan in warm soapy water; rinse and thoroughly dry with soft towel. Follow recipe or label instructions for pan preparation. Pans can be prepared by generously greasing the inside using a pastry brush or paper towel and solid vegetable shortening. For best results, do not use butter, margarine for liquid vegetable oil. You also can use Bake Easy™ Non-Stick Spray or Cake Release to treat pans. Other great alternatives are parchment paper and silicone baking mats.
