Color Mist Food Coloring Spray is rated 2.2 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked Well with Stencils on Cookies I used several colors of this product with Easter stencils on egg shaped cookies. I put down a layer of royal icing (what Wilton calls Cookie Icing) and let it dry overnight. The cookies were very flat as I used the back sides to ensure the stencil would lay flat. I sprayed the stencil lightly, two times and the results were good. I even blended colors from top to bottom. A nice product if you don't have your own airbrush.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Actual color not as represented on the can I have been cake decorating for 20 years and use Wilton products almost exclusively. I have never been more disappointed in a wilton product. We purchased the Gold Color Mist spray to spray on white buttercream roses for a graduation cake. The color was close to a copper color (peach tone) and not golden like the can lid or photo on the can. This is very misleading. I ended up making buttercream roses with Wilton Golden Yellow paste food color combined with a hint of Brown color. We then sprayed them lightly with the Gold Mist - it was acceptable but not at all what we originally planned. Also, the kids said the roses had a funny taste.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Two Thumbs Up I got the pearlized spray in order to give a little extra pop to a cupcake wedding dress for my best friend's bridal shower. They looked amazing and it was super easy to use! I even had some trouble with the color of some macarons I was making and sprayed them with it and it made all the difference. My only complaint was that the spray was a bit wider than I expected and I got some on my counter (it came right up with a wet paper towel). Overall though two thumbs up!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Color Misrepresentation Epic fail.......Well, let me just say the Gold Color Mist was a big disappointment and greatly misrepresented. When you see the color on the can, one would seem to think that the product in the can would be something close to that color. Attached is a photo of the orange stuff that came out of the can along with the cover representing the color that was suppose to be in it. Pictures are worth a thousand words.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from HORRIBLE! I do not recommend it at all! I bought it and used to decorate cookies with a group of ten preschoolers on Valentines day. Their excitement turned to disappointment when they tasted the cookies. The taste and the smell of the Spray was horrible, some children said it tasted it like poison. I was terrified when I tasted it myself because it does have a metallic almost numbing flavor.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Don't freeze after using the spray I bought this to spray a 25th anniversary cake frosted in Italian Buttercream. It looked nice but when I froze it and thawed it the silver spray turned to dark purple droplets all over the beautiful cake.
