Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shaped pans are what makes buttercream iced cakes awesome. I am not a cake sculpter or fondant user. Shaped pans are the best! This train pan has been used so many times over the years. We have a family of train enthusists. My son is going to be 6 and has had a Thomas the Tank Engine cake when he was two and last year he had three engines Thomas, Percy and James. I love decorating with this pan. It is so easy to use and follow the directions and the cake always comes out moist and delicious. I cant praise this pan enough for making it so easy to have a 3-D train cake as the centerpiece of our special occasions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I bought this pan off Amazon for my oldest son's 2nd birthday. My oldest sister is the cake decorator in our family. She did a trial cake weeks before the party and it turned out great and so did the one for the party. Everybody that came was amazed at how the cake looked. The side that is faced up when baking doesn't mold as complete as the side facing down but that makes since to us. She had to trim some off where the pan clips together it had a edge but after you decorate with icing you can't tell any of that. I did a Trains, Planes and Auto theme that's why i choose this cake. I highly recommend this!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I baked this cake last month for my grandson who turned 1. I cut half the smoke stack off then kinda hollowed out the rest. Set a medicine cup in there and frosted it. When got it ready for the birthday boy, my son dropped a piece of dry ice in the medicine cup and put some warm water in it. There fore we had a train with smoke coming out of the smoke stack. I now have another birthday to do. And after pictures the girls at work were trying to find the cake pan so they could do one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My granddaughter seems to fall in love with a different Thomas The Tank Engine character each birthday, so I have made 3 of these now using this pan set, all in different colors and flavors. I have found the most success using the Wilton recipes for vanilla and chocolate pound cake. I found your video very helpful! I had no trouble with the cake sticking or not rising enough. I am very happy with this product and look forward to making many more "choo-choos" with it. Thank you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Have used this pan twice now, and found it just AWESOME, our family are into chocolate cakes BIG Time, but they're never firm enough so what we do is we use melted real chocolate and add it to a butter cake recipe (yup I know, Really Decadent, but So Yumm), then what I did was use a firm butter icing and very carefully with a sharp knife cut and scoop out a cradle in the chimney and roof for some lollies. Kids LOVE IT ! (even us Big Kids)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have used this cake pan many times over the years! It is totally awesome and really easy. I thought I would have a hard time but the cake came out so easy and the toughest part of all of it was deciding which colors I was going to use this time. My son had this cake for his 4th birthday and this year he'll be 26 He wants another train cake. Awesome!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great pan! I used this pan for a birthday cake for my best friend's little boy. Everyone LOVED the cake. My only complaint was that one side of the cake looked better than the other. I used the exact amount of cake batter the directions called for but maybe it could have used a tad bit more. Directions were very clear and easy to follow.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I had some trouble with this one. One side of the cake turned out perfect and the other side didn't. I may not have used enough or maybe too much batter. Was fun to decorate and my grandchildren liked it. I will try again when my one grand son turns four this summer. I liked it but it is a bit more complicated than just a flat pan.
