Chicken Italiano Appetizers

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400°F. Spray muffin pan cavities with vegetable pan spray.

Step 2

Press wonton wrappers into cavities.

Step 3

In small skillet, cook red pepper and green onion in oil until soft, about 5 minutes.

Step 4

Meanwhile, combine chicken, mayonnaise, cheese and seasonings

Step 5

Stir in cooked vegetables.

Step 6

Spoon 3 tablespoons filling into wonton "cup."

Step 7

Bake 7-8 minutes.

Step 8

Serve hot or at room temperature.

1/2 cup green onion (finely chopped)

2 teaspoon olive oil

2 cups cooked chicken (finely chopped)

1/3 cup mayonnaise

2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon basil

1/2 teaspoon oregano

salt and pepper to taste

Every time I make these, I end up giving the recipe to multiple people! I am now asked to bring these to parties with me! If you want a little bit of a shortcut, use cooked, canned chicken and just shred it. The flavor is still just as good!

I would love to find more recipes just like this one! I've also substituted crab instead of chicken and people liked those too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I absolutely love these! I made them for a bridal shower and since then I am asked to bring them to any kind of party. I use rotisserie chicken for even more ease and flavor. And instead of using a standard muffin tin, I use a mini one. The filling makes about 48 cups that way.
