Step 1

Two to three days in advance: Make flowers. Add 1 1/2 teaspoons Gum-Tex to 10 oz. fondant. Using blossom ejector and instructions from Flower Cutter Set, make 170 large blossoms and 140 medium blossoms; make extras to allow for breakage. Attach Sugar Pearl center using tip 2 dot of Piping Gel. Let dry 24 hours on cornstarch-dusted, waxed paper-covered boards.

Step 2

Also in advance: Make bassinet. Add 1/2 teaspoon Gum-Tex to 5 oz. fondant. Roll out 3/16 in. thick. Imprint using Graceful Vines Mat. Use pattern to cut out bassinet. Let dry 48 hours on cornstarch-dusted, waxed paper-covered board. Attach stick to back using melted candy, leaving 3 1/2 in. extended. Let set. Cover imprinted designs with tip 3 royal icing outlines. Let dry.

Step 3

Finally in advance: Prepare board. Using petal pan as a guide, cut shaped board, 1 in. larger than pan on all sides. Prepare and cover with Fanci-Foil Wrap. Attach ribbon to board with double-stick tape.

Step 4

Bake and cool 2-layer round cakes and 3-layer petal cake (trim one layer to 1 in. high for a 5 in. high cake). Tint 138 oz. fondant blue. Prepare and cover cakes with rolled fondant. Prepare for Stacked Construction.

Step 5

For bottom tier, roll out white fondant 3/16 in. thick. Imprint using Graceful Vines Mat. Cut eight panels, 6 1/2 x 5 n. Attach to cake sides using damp brush, trimming as needed. Use largest round Cut-Out to cut center circle 1 1/2 in. from top edge; remove fondant. Roll eight 1/4 in. diameter x 5 in. long logs. Attach over seams using damp brush.

Step 6

For round tiers, divide 6 in. cake into sixths, 10 in. cake into eighths. Roll out white fondant 3/16 in. thick as needed. Imprint using Graceful Vines Mat. For 6 in. cake, cut three circles, using third largest metal cutter from set. Cut in half. Attach to cake sides between marks using damp brush. For 10 in. cake, cut four circles using second largest cutter from set. Cut circles in half and trim to 1 1/2 in. deep. Attach to cake sides between marks using damp brush.

Step 7

Tint icing sky blue. Cover imprinted designs with tip 3 outlines. Attach flowers using tip 3 dots of buttercream. Use large flowers for all bottom borders and bottom tier trims. Use medium flowers to edge semi-circles on round tiers and bassinet. Insert bassinet.
