Step 1

Make petals. Melt pink, orange and yellow Candy Melts candy, separately, according to package directions. Use pink from garden candy color set to brighten melted pink candy.

Tape pattern to board and cover with parchment paper. Use melted pink, orange or yellow candy in cut decorating bag to outline petals. Chill until firm, about 1 to 3 minutes. Use matching melted pink, orange or yellow candy in cut parchment bag to fill in petals. Tap to smooth and remove air bubbles. Chill until firm, about 5 to 10 minutes. You will need five petals for each treat; make extras to allow for breakage.

Step 2

Make cupcakes. Prepare cupcake batter following recipe directions. Bake and cool cupcakes.

Prepare buttercream icing following recipe directions. Use spatula and white icing to ice cupcakes smooth, mounding slightly.

Step 3

Assemble treats. Use spatula to gently remove petals from parchment. Position petals, smooth side up, on cupcake top in a flower formation. Position mini chocolate chips for center.
