Butter is just one of the rich flavors at work in our Butter Cupcakes. You'll also taste hints of vanilla and almond for a dessert that's perfect anytime.
Makes: Makes about 24 standard cupcakes. Each cupcake serves 1.

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Step 2

In mixer bowl cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Step 3

Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

Step 4

Mix in vanilla and almond flavor.

Step 5

Mix flour with baking powder and salt.

Step 6

Add flour mixture alternately with milk, starting with the flour.

Step 7

Pour into prepared pans.

Step 8

Bake 20-25 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Step 9

Cool 10 minutes in pan on rack; remove and cool completely before decorating.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quite good! Made these to practice my decorating skills and although they are quite good, they are a bit too sweet for my taste as I will be topping them with more sugar in the buttercream frosting. I will probably add a bit more vanilla next time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a great butter cupcake recipe. They are very moist and the amount of sugar is perfect. I added a little bit of orange food coloring to the batter to make it more fun and they turned out great. I'm a beginner and this was easy to make for me.
