Prepare cake mix following recipe instructions. Bake and cool two cake layers. Level layers to 2½ in. high. Fill and stack for 5 in. high cake. Ice cake smooth.
Combine Lemon Yellow and Moss Green icing colors to get light moss green color shown. Combine Violet and Royal Blue icing colors to get dark blue color shown. Combine Kelly Green and Lemon Yellow icing colors to get bright green color shown. Combine Royal Blue and Teal icing colors to get medium blue color shown. Tint ¼ cup icing each light moss green, dark blue, bright green and medium blue using color combinations provided. Using Teal icing color, tint ¼ cup icing teal. Using Moss Green icing color, tint ¼ cup icing green.
Print out Bug Pattern. Cover with parchment paper. Prepare decorating bag with tip 1 and piping gel. Trace over lines using very light pressure. Place pattern gel side down onto cake, gently tracing over gel lines with finger. Carefully pull parchment paper away, leaving design on cake.
Prepare six decorating bags with tip 1. Fill separately with moss green, dark blue, bright green, medium blue, teal, and green icing. Pipe over piping gel transfer, alternating colors. Fill in bugs with small lines, dots and dashes.
