Handy Decorating Bag Sleeve

April 8th, 2012 by Katie Godbey

Have you ever felt like you needed an extra pair of hands when you’re filling icing bags? Our new Decorating Bag Sleeves provides you with an easy way to fill icing bags.

The decorating bag sleeves come in handy (pun intended). The sturdy sleeve gives stable support for filling decorating bags. A nice bonus feature – the bag sleeve can stand on its own while you fill the bag.Decorate Bag Sleeve

I recently volunteered to make cupcakes for a children’s show. I needed to make several dozen cupcakes – quickly. These holders made loading the icing bags a snap. I was able to finish the cupcakes and be on my way to the event with five minutes to spare.

The cool designs on the sleeve also act as vents so you can dry your featherweight bags quickly. After cleaning your decorating bag, simply push the bag inside-out to air dry. They also accordion fold flat for easy storage in a cabinet, drawer or tool caddy.

These are another one of the new products from Wilton that help you to ‘Decorate Smart’.  What do you think?  Do they make decorating easier for you?

Great blog Katie! I can’t wait to use these! They will make decorating even easier! :)

Not sure if these will do well. I really do see the use in this product. I just use a tall glass to help hold the bag while I fill it. I feel that this is another unnecessary product that Wilton has produced.

As katie above said.. I do the same thing, Just use a tall glass and it works great.. No need for the extra expense.. get a few tall glasses from the dollar store.

  4. Carisa says:

Good idea but I probably won’t buy them. A tall glass would work great or I use an empty Pringles tube.

  5. Marilyn Wall says:

I have tried these and found that a glass/cup works better for my more sturdier to me a waste of money wish I could return them :(

  6. Rick says:

I’ve been using a Pringles chip can for years, so I probably won’t end up buying one of these. I’m surprised R&D didn’t come up with this a long time ago.

  7. Anne says:

I have to agree with the posts above. A tall glass does the trick.

  8. Chris says:

I have to agree with everyone above. I also use a tall glass and as for drying out my decorating bags, I use a styrafoam cone that I got at a craft shop and turn my bag inside out, works great.

  9. Claudell says:

Me too! a tall glass… would be a nice gift to all the wilton fans! not for buying. Sorry!

  10. Remy says:

I agree with the glass from the dollars stores or use the decorating bag holder. There is no need to buy these! Sorry Wilton but this product is not sturdy enough for icing bags.

  11. Donna says:

Yeah – dissappointed in this. I actually use a tall plastic beer mug – nice wide opening at the top and tall enough that i can fill the bag at the bottom with ease. Not spending my money on this one. Sorry wilton.

  12. i use my metal tumblers for holding my bags open. they do just fine.

  13. Karen says:

In spite of above comments, I ordered these and can’t wait to use them. I don’t buy Pringles, glasses fall over and break. I like the ability of these to store flat. I don’t have much room for storage, so I’m willing to give these a try!

  14. Karen Murray says:

I too will give them a try. just because they lay flat, cause storage is limited at my house also. I also use the glass holder. Lets hope one of these tips work better than the other. And another big factor is the price. So lets see what happens.
