Fun New Shaped Cake Pans Make Birthdays and Other Celebrations a Blast

April 23rd, 2010 by Nancy Siler

Whether you’ve got birthdays, baby showers, or upcoming summer events such as Father’s Day or baseball season, Wilton has fun, new shaped cake pans to help you bake, decorate and celebrate! There are four shapes this year…an elephant, a baseball mitt, a dump truck and a skate. The pans are made from durable aluminum for great heat distribution which results in a smooth baked cake that doesn’t have too many crumbs to deal with when you get started icing.

What I love about these new shaped pans is that they’re not just for birthdays even though they’re perfect for them. New Shaped Pans

  • Take our new Elephant shaped cake pan, for example – this adorable elephant makes for an exciting addition to birthday parties, baby showers, school celebrations and/or an outing to the local zoo.
  • The new Baseball Mitt cake pan is a big hit whether it be for opening day, birthday parties, for a team celebration, or to honor Dad on Father’s Day. Got a little builder on your hands?
  • The Dump Truck cake pan is filled with birthday fun for your little one, or perhaps for a construction company gathering!
  • For your skating fans, we have a new Skate shaped cake pan, ideal for team parties, competitions and birthdays alike.

Creating new and creative cakes for birthdays is a cinch with a shaped pan – each comes with step-by-step instructions and decorating ideas that make decorating enjoyable and easy for you and your family. You just need one cake mix per pan to begin the festivities!

And you don’t always have to bake a cake in them….try gelatin, rice cereal treats, breads, brownies, ice cream, cookies or make a candy plaque. These pans are very versatile and assured to add a kick to your celebrations, whatever the occasion may be. Be sure to browse through our new cake pan additions.

I can’t think of anything available right now but stay tuned for some new items probably coming in June. Thanks

What about color flow? You can place wax paper on any design from coloring books to photos trace, fill in let dry and place it on the cake. I have used color flow for 30 years and find it easy to use. I have done Marine ball cakes with the emblem , specialty cars and cartoon characters.

I have been looking for instructions and possibly the face plates and chest plates for the wilton Superman/Batman cake pan. I have found instructions, but the photo is blurry and small. There are no instructions on how to make the face and chest if you do not have those pieces. I hope you can help.

Is there a year book that this specific pan is in? Maybe I can find it in an auction somewhere.

    Thanks,
    Lisa

    • Nancy Siler says:

This pan was featured in our yearbooks in the early 90′s. We do not have any of the face makers or shields available, and unfortunately, we cannot offer directions on how to create the characters. Maybe some of the bloggers can help.

Is there a Toy Story cake pan coming out this year to coordinate with the new Toy Story 3D movie? This is the 3rd movie of the series and you have never released a Toy Story pan – Buzz Lightyear and/or Woody would make adorable cakes and would make a lot of children happy.

Will you be coming out with new character pans, such as the Tangled Rapunzel pan? If so, when will the Tangled Rapunzel pan be available for purchase? My little niece is having a birthday on May 30.

Unfortunately we will not be coming out with a Rapunzel pan. You could make something similar using our wonder mold pan and some of the doll picks. She’d be 3 D! Happy Baking…Nancy
