Bake Mini Pumpkin Cakes Filled with Autumn Flavor

My sister is a gourmet cook who loves to entertain at home. At any given time, Cindy can pull together a dinner party for 25 using only what is stocked in the pantry and fridge. Food Network should be filming in her kitchen! So when Cindy asked me for dessert ideas for her upcoming fall dinner party, I knew I had to come up with a grand finale to cap off an amazing meal. Gingerbread Cookie Placeholders

I am getting ready for Thanksgiving. The whole family will be over at my house this year, and I want to make a pretty statement on the dining room table. One idea that I got from the Wilton website is to make table placeholders for each member of the family. I made mine out of Gingerbread Cookies; here is how I did it. (more…)

Thanksgiving Dessert Ideas

Most people have traditional items the family is used to having at Thanksgiving. A bit like expected comfort food such as at my house, broccoli rice casserole, green bean casserole, mashed and sweet potatoes, dressing/stuffing plus the inevitable turkey whether he’s basted with orange juice or has herbs placed under his skin and onion/garlic in the cavity.
