Summer may be hot, but we still have plenty of reasons to bake here at Wilton. Below, a few tips for making baking in the summer heat a little more bearable.
When I think of summer color trends, my mind immediately went to blue. Whether it’s because I’m looking at the sky on a beautiful day, or just wishing I was at the beach relaxing beside the beautiful blue ocean- blue is everywhere! The number of shades are almost limitless – soft baby blues, sky, teals, neons, brights, royals, navy and many more.
We understand the yearbook has been important to many Wilton fans and have heard how so many of you learned to decorate from the pages of the Wilton yearbook. We’ve heard touching stories about children selecting their birthday cakes from the pages each year and anxiously awaiting the release of the new edition.
S’mores are more than just a classic campfire treat. The combination of marshmallow, chocolate and graham cracker flavors can be captured in so many different desserts. I know every time I see something s’mores-related, I just have to try it!
Rosanna Pansino and her sister Molly often take each other on for fun and silly challenges, many of which revolve around eating. Today, they’ve decided to use the Candy Melts™ Candy Melting Pot to dip 10 different foods in melted chocolate. Some of my favorite memories growing up were going to ice cream shops and getting GIANT ice cream cones. My favorite indulgence was the waffle cone, filled with a scoop or two of the chocolate peanut butter ice cream. I made sure it was so full that I had to eat it with one of the long sundae spoons. I was a kid. Giant ice cream cones made me smile. Heck, they still do! All of the different flavors, the funny upside-down cones decorated like clowns, all the toppings… Mmm… I’m salivating just thinking about it. (more…)
