The holidays are over. It’s cold. So what do we do now? Nothing perks up the winter doldrums like baking brownies. Easy to make, love the heat from the oven, the house smells like chocolate and you get to eat brownies….how could this be anything but great?!
The Wilton Brownie Fun! book has over 140 exciting min-treat ideas and delicious recipes. My favorite recipe to eat is The Ultimate Quadruple Chocolate Brownie which includes unsweetened chocolate, semi sweet chocolate chips, milk chocolate chips, and white chocolate chips. That will take care of any chocolate fix.
One of my favorites for the kids is A Worm Welcome which puts brownie crumbles on top of chocolate mousse. For convenience, use a mix or chocolate pudding. Have you thought about Brownie Pizza? In the book there are four ideas, but you can make many others using brownies as your crust on a pizza pan. Adults and kids will love that. Have a taste for cookies, well that’s covered too with the Brownie Cookie Bites.
In the book we’ve provided many recipes plus lots of ways to decorate. You can always use mixes for your 9” square pan or your 9 X 13” rectangle pan. Oh go ahead and be a rebel. Bake the brownies in a round pan.
You can add different ingredients to your mixes for variety if you’re not inclined that day for a scratch experience. So if you have a slow afternoon of rain, snow or even non inclement weather, bake a batch of brownies. Top with brownie drizzle icing, sprinkles, sugars and I bet the afternoon will look even better.
