Everyday, Wilton Method Instructors (WMIs) everywhere are teaching Wilton Cake Decorating classes. They are on the front lines with our consumers, sharing their passion for Wilton techniques and products, and loving every minute of it. Generations of Cake Decorators Enter the 4,000,000 Student Sweepstakes!

Whether you are one of the first Wilton students who took a course back in 1975 or the 4,000,000th student in 2009, the “fun”damental cake decorating techniques you learned in your Wilton courses are pretty similar. Spatulas, bags, tips and icing colors have turned simple cakes and icing into colorful and vivid memories.

How to Make Red Icing Red

Do you ever have any problems getting red icing red? I know I do. It can happen for a couple of reasons: didn’t add enough icing color or used shortening with a high yellow dye content, such as butter flavored shortening. Use Cookie Cutters To Put The Finishing Touch on Your Pie

There’s no doubt about it, autumn has arrived. With cooler air and changing leaves, I am always reminded of pies. Lots of people eat pies year-round – lemon chiffon in the spring, cherry or peach in the summer, pecan or chocolate cream in the colder months. For me though, pie is very seasonal, and that season is now.

Birthday Daisies

We enjoy celebrating birthdays at Wilton. And with every birthday comes the cake! For Micall’s birthday I decided to bake a delicious birthday cake and decorate it with icing flowers. This was a really easy project and would be perfect for beginner to medium skilled decorators. I used a banana flavored cake mix and I filled each layer with chocolate hazelnut cream… needless to say it was both gorgeous AND delicious!

Scary Surprises and Halloween Treats-To-Go
