Rated 4 out of 5 by from My Wilton instructor gave us a tip/hint on using "black" frosting. When making black, use a chocolate frosting. It takes less black coloring to get it to look black and tastes so much better than taking a white frosting to black. With reds I've used strawberry frosting (in a can) and added the red tints to avoid those strong "red & black" flavors everyone still complains about.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I decided to make these because, when I searched online to buy cookies I couldn't believe the price of them. making them at home was 1. cost friendly 2. easy to make and 3. I could add any changes that I want to such as school colors, name, etc without any worries. They really looked like they came from a specialty store or bakery. Give them a try. You won't be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I made these for my own graduation party when I graduated from Temple University. Most of the caps were black, but I also made a few red (with no taste red icing color of course) and some white to match my school colors. Everyone thought a professional made them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I used this cookie cutter for my son's graduation party last year. The shape is really cute and makes an adorable hat. I used color flow icing and it worked great. Just be sure to make your outlines for your hat edge first.
